37th Annual Water Seminar: From Headwaters to Headgates

Climate change brings unpredictability. Drought threatens uncertainty in the Colorado River basin. There’s never enough funding for infrastructure. But southwest Colorado has strength in its unmatched local basin experts. From the headwaters of the San Miguel to the headgates on the Piedra, SWCD works to bring southwest Colorado together for water solutions that benefit all our communities.  For 37 years, SWCD has hosted the Annual Water Seminar as a venue for robust education and engagement. We hope the presentations and panels spark conversation, and hold lessons you can share with your board, town, or organization.

Join us for SWCD’s 37th Annual Water Seminar on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Durango. This year’s speakers include U.S. Representative Scott Tipton, Colorado Commissioner to the Upper Colorado River Commission Becky Mitchell, and KKTV’s meteorologist Brian Bledsoe. Click here for the full program.

Registration online is now closed, but a few seats are still available! Please call 970-247-1302 to register for $50 over the phone today or bring your check at the door.
