Local Research and Remediation Efforts 

Bonita Peak Community Advisory Group

Each year, SWCD contributes to the Bonita Peak Community Advisory Group (CAG) to support mine remediation efforts, specifically after the Gold King Mine spill.

Center for Snow and Avalanche Studies 

SWCD contributes funding to the Center for Snow and Avalanche Studies each year. This funding goes towards Snow Tel Sites, Dust on Snow Research, and other efforts to better understand our snowpack.

San Miguel Watershed Coalition 

The San Miguel Watershed Coalition uses many gauges, tools, and research to maintain an integrated model to better understand hydrology in the San Miguel Watershed.  SWCD helps fund these efforts.
